We’re here to help

The Coronavirus is undoubtedly causing disruption across the UK and presenting businesses of all sizes with unprecedented challenges.

Here at the Thames Valley Berkshire Business Growth Hub, we are committed to supporting Berkshire businesses throughout this challenging time. Our team are working hard to respond to the needs of business owners, coordinate information and resources, and provide a clear route for SMEs to access practical support.

We want to help as many local businesses as we can through this difficult time to ensure their long-term prosperity, safeguard their workforce and minimise the impact of Coronavirus on our local economy. As a valued partner of the Growth Hub, we would like to ask for your help in this mission.

Online advice
We have set-up a dedicated Coronavirus Advice for Businesses page on our website to provide SMEs with news of the latest support available to them. We are continually collating all the latest information, resources and online events to ensure you are kept updated. The page contains details of the latest financial support announced by the Chancellor, including the new Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme, the Small Business Grant and the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme as well as details of the new tax helpline and guidance on sick pay, remote working and HR issues.

One-to-one business support
Our experienced team of in-house business champions will be providing one-to-one advice for businesses needing urgent support via telephone and video conferencing (e.g. Zoom/Teams). Businesses concerned about the impact of coronavirus on their business, can email us at info@berkshirebusinesshub.co.uk to arrange for a confidential consultation.

Growth Hub clinics: Industry expertise
Despite the disruption to many business events, we are pleased to let you know the Growth Hub’s one-to-one advice clinics are still running and cover a range of business topics. Business owners can book an appointment to speak to an expert via video conferencing (e.g. Zoom) or telephone, so there is no need to leave the house or office. You’ll find a list of our clinic events here.

In addition, we have a network of partner experts who can provide Berkshire-based businesses with advice and support. Some of the areas our partners can advise on include:
• HR and employment law
• IT, remote working and video conferencing tools
• Finance and funding
• Legal advice
• Import and export (including communicating with overseas suppliers).
